{ The Taylor’s at Calaway Park }

Hello Dear Friends…

This weeks’ BLOG post is going to be a personal and very FUN one…

Last year, our children pooled their skills at selling popcorn for
the local Scout group and won a prize of Season’s Passes to Calaway Park!
Needless to say, the excitement level at our house that day was pretty high!

Our first visit was in July, and we spent a beautiful, sun-filled day
exploring every possible corner of the theme park!
Of course, everybody had a different direction they wanted to go…
and even though we never did come up with a ‘system’,
we managed to see and do most of the activities there!

I have to say though, that the swings are my favourite ❤

exciting rides, delicious treats, amazing interactive shows,
and the thrill of wondering what’s around the next corner.
But, for me… it was more about getting to spend time together as a family.
Capturing the twinkle in their eyes as they whirl through the air.
The little details, my baby holding his Dad’s hand.
These are the moments that I will treasure when they are grown.

As you can imagine, our days filled with other activities,
and before we knew it… Summer was almost over!
On the very last day of August,
we surprised the children by going to Calaway Park again!
We had driven over halfway there before
sharing the news of our destination… haha.

One of the BIG attractions, of course, was “The Vortex”,
but only our two oldest children met the height restrictions…
So, the others had to settle for watching…

They didn’t stay sad for too long though,
as there were plenty of rides especially geared
for the younger crowd!

And what trip to any respectable theme park is complete
without the necessary stop at the mini donut shop…

and the obligatory picture of hot, tired, dirty baby in stroller…
always a classic.

and this one is a water ride… almost everyone loved it!
There were a few who were not a fan,
but didn’t know they wouldn’t like it until it was too late… haha.
Oh, well… maybe next year…

Our last visit of the season,
was on the very last day that Calaway Park was open for 2015.
It was Thanksgiving Weekend,
and we had some family visiting, so they joined us!

Here we have the obligatory picture of Mama’s shoes
(moccassins in this case)… another classic shot… haha.

And so, here ends the story of our summer visits to Calaway Park!
We will definitely be back again…
