You know, I didn’t think that my sons listened
when I talk about all the things that I love about weddings…
I guess I was wrong… ❤
My 10 year old, Locklyn, came to me and said,
“Mom, I’d like to hire you to photograph a LEGO event”
soooo, I said, “Ok! What are you up to?”
and boy, I had nooooo idea what I was getting into… haha.

I followed the boys into the backyard, and there,
behind the playhouse, was a beautiful LEGO wedding!
From the lovely YouTube wedding music playing in the background…
right down to which ‘moments’ they wanted captured…
these amazing boys of mine had it all figured out!

My oldest son, Levi, escorted the Bride & Groom
to the ceremony in a unique car/carriage
{ driven by Batman }…
and that’s when they REALLY started to impress me…
“Mom! Make sure you get a shot of the Groom watching
the Bride walk down the aisle… you love that shot!”
“AND, make sure you get a shot of the Bride
and her Dad walking towards the Groom”

As you can imagine, with a very customized LEGO wedding,
the wedding party was pretty special…
Anakin Skywalker was the best man,
Elsa { from FROZEN } was the maid of honour,
The Groom was Bane…
{ Bane is a supervillain appearing in DC Comics,
commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman, AKA the ringbearer }
The Bride was a mix of different pieces
{ but we didn’t realize there were no hands until it was time to exchange rings 😉 … haha }

The traditional order of ceremony was a little off,
with the ringbearer coming up when it was time for
the Bride & Groom to exchange rings… ❤
BUT, they didn’t forget a thing…

The rings were exchanged { the Bride had to borrow a hand from the officiant },
The vows were said, music was played, the Bride & Groom kissed…
and they frolicked their way back down the aisle ❤

We went straight into Bride & Groom portraits…
but they { the Bride & Groom AND my 5 sons… haha }
quickly got a little crazy and wanted to get to the PARTY!
They did have a reception,
but apparently they didn’t want photography
coverage of their shenanigans there… hahaha.
So… I did a few pics of just the Bride and left it at that ❤

I just want to mention, in closing, a few things that I learned
by being a part of this great wedding…
1. My children DO listen to me… and they are crazy creative!! 🙂
2. They value the way I capture memories through my lens ❤
3. I really DO love being a wedding photographer,
even when the Bride & Groom are little LEGO characters ❤
