Yes, I know a lot of people say the same,
but it’s TRUE for me… haha.
I have been blessed to work with
a lot of kind, amazing
and beautiful people!
I also feel blessed to get to be part of
an amazing community of photographers
who belong to the Shoot & Share group!
Every year, the leaders of this group
put on a photography contest.

Here’s a little background info…
The Shoot & Share Photo Contest is FREE & FAIR…
Anyone can enter up to 50 images in 25 different categories…
No one knows who took the photos
{unless you happen to follow that photographer on social media}
I recognized several images in this year’s contest,
Including images from other LOCAL photographers!

This year, they started with 412,379 photos!
People were voting from over 130 different countries,
and they cast about 75 million votes!!!
And here are the images that I entered into this years’ contest!

8 of our images reached the top 30%
11 of our images reached the top 20%
By this time, the images in the contest
have made it through 10 rounds of voting!
It’s motivating to keep voting in the hopes
of seeing your own image {and of course voting for it}.
There were people I didn’t even know,
as well as local friends & family,
messaging me to tell me that they had
seen my image(s) in the contest…
this was so encouraging as this is one of the
only ways of knowing if you are still in the contest!

If your images make it to Round 12,
that means you are a FINALIST in the contest!

3 of our images were FINALISTS!
Interestingly, the image that had the best results in the contest
this year was not even a portrait of a person!
The image of these beautiful doors (image below)
was captured while driving through
an artisan’s village in Rosarito, Mexico.
